Open fires are prohibited throughout the park from midnight to 4 p.m. through April 30 per the 4 p.m. Burning Law. This includes wood and charcoal. Gas is permissible. Campground fires are allowed during the restricted time if a camp host is on duty and signage to that effect is posted in the campground. Failure to observe the 4 p.m. Burning Law can result in a fine. Contact the Park Office for additional information.

Spend National Kids to Park Day at Natural Tunnel State Park as we celebrate our outdoor resources and get everyone excited about parks; there's more than just meets the eye! To end the evening with a refresher, we will be offering free water activities including "Flexing Our Mussels."

Mussels play a huge part in our watershed. A single mussel can filter more than 15 gallons of water per day. Grab a snorkel and investigate these freshwater powerhouses with us. Meet at Stock Creek Recreational Area, and we will transport you to the Clinchport boat launch. This program is suitable for ages 6 and up. Please wear closed-toe shoes and be prepared to get wet.
