First Day Hike: Master Naturalists Workshop

Kick off this new year the right way, outdoors, up and on your feet and out on the trail at your local Virginia State Park.

The Virginia Master Naturalist Historic Southside Chapter will be hosting a guided hike and workshop experience for all to attend and enjoy. Spend time exploring and observing with Master Naturalists in the field.

Bring your smart phones, identification apps, binoculars, field guides, water, a friend or family member, and anything else you'll need to record and observe wildlife. Parking is located behind the Jones - Stewart Mansion. The group will most likely adventure to the James River Trail.

You'll be sure to get your steps in on the 1st of January, while learning more about which various animals call Chippokes their home.
