Open fires are prohibited throughout the park from midnight to 4 p.m. through April 30 per the 4 p.m. Burning Law. This includes wood and charcoal. Gas is permissible. Campground fires are allowed during the restricted time if a camp host is on duty and signage to that effect is posted in the campground. Failure to observe the 4 p.m. Burning Law can result in a fine. Contact the Park Office for additional information.

May 18, 2024. 10:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Enjoy the great outdoors with High Bridge Trail for a full day of programs for kids. Each program will begin in the Camp Paradise Access area.

10 a.m. Civil War Travelling Trunk - Young people will be able to examine and interact with replica historical items that were used or worn during the American Civil War. Location will be at the approach to High Bridge on the Camp Paradise Access side.

1 p.m. Leaf Print Art - Join our ranger in the shade of the picnic area of Camp Paradise Access for an art program. Participants will make prints on card stock of native leaves from our park. Participants will learn about the commercial and cultural importance of the native species used, and the function of leaves.

3 p.m. High Bridge Scavenger Hunt - Participants will be divided into two teams and will seek out various significant things found in our park.
